COLLEGE SOCCER OBSERVATORY — COMPLETE NATIONAL DATABASE — RELEASE 004

One database: college-soccer-observatory.sqlite.
213 programs; 6,231 current player records; 62,575 historical player-season records;
2,130 historical team-season records; 2,130 academic report records.

Open the .sqlite file with a SQLite-compatible application. No server or website
account is required. The Python helper uses only Python's standard library.

START HERE
SELECT * FROM current_team_summary ORDER BY name;
SELECT * FROM current_players WHERE school_id = 513;
SELECT * FROM historical_players WHERE school_id = 513 ORDER BY season, name;

The query tables use reviewed working values. All 88,853 rows from both original
research databases, including every original column, are retained in source_records.
The original volume numbers are provenance, not separate databases to manage.

Large supporting field values are stored once in shared_details.
Use read_database.py to expand a source record; current and historical query columns
remain ordinary SQL columns. This avoids repeatedly storing large observation blocks.
Example:
  python read_database.py college-soccer-observatory.sqlite --school 513

For full original player detail, obtain source_volume, source_table and source_row_id
from current_players or historical_players, then:
  python read_database.py college-soccer-observatory.sqlite --volume 1 --table current_players --row-id 1
The final example demonstrates addressing; row 1 is not asserted to be Notre Dame.

WHAT IS INCLUDED
Reviewed data, original structured research records, source references, evidence
inventories, assumptions, review observations, corrections, coverage notes, and
website display records and policies. Original row counts are in source_inventory.

WHAT IS SEPARATE
Bytes of captured web pages and source documents remain in the preserved evidence
archives. Their source references and the original evidence inventories are included.
No download or connection to the website is needed to query the included data.

READ METHODS.txt before comparing programs. See DATA_DICTIONARY.md for tables and
columns. validation.json and source-preservation-check.json record the full checks.
SHA256SUMS.txt identifies the exact files. Prepared release; publication is separate.
No new license is granted over third-party source material by this package.
